From 6th April, eu directive 2006/24/EC means that the government will be monitoring every e-mail you send, every friend you make on the ubiquitous Facebook, every mobile phone call you make, every time you log onto this or any other web page.
Does this mean that if I use the word "terror" or "photograph" in an e-mail I shall be investigated?
No, if you want to put something really evil in your emails. try:- Bin lid up, fly tipping, dropped elastic band, wee'd in the bushes, said ...gollywog (Sorry), etc.
Now.....if someone from the local council called at your house every few weeks and said "I'm from the local council and I would like to come in and make a note of what books and magazines you have in your house so that we can keep an eye on what you are reading" perhaps only then would folk take notice of what is happening?
The logging of *all* internet activity is actually worse than that in terms of invasion of privacy.
